Volaq Windsalf is a non-playable character in Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together. Volaq is a knight commander, and one of the senior members of the Dark Knights Loslorien.

The Dark Knight Volaq
Volaq Windsalf. Age 35.
A Loslorien commander.
Little is known of his past, or how he came to join the Dark Knights. His loyalty to Lodis is unquestionable, and he has earned a great deal of respect from those serving under him.
A career soldier, he never lets personal matters interfere with his duties.
He was betrayed by Sir Martym and Sir Barbas at Heim Castle. Though detained for a time, he escaped during a battle between Resistance and Bakram forces. Nothing has been heard from him since.
Personality[]
Volaq is the most honorable and straight-laced of the Dark Knights, exhibiting none of the excessively cruel traits of certain other members. However, he holds loyalty to Lodis above all else, and will bloody his hands if ordered to. Despite his senior position, he seems out of the loop of Lanselot Tartaros and Balxephon's more hidden schemes.
Volaq is always polite and dignified, even during tense exchanges with Brantyn Morne.
Trivia[]
- He shares his family name with Hikash Vinzalf and Rauny Xenobia (née Vinzalf). It's possible that he used to be a Hyland noble that defected to Lodis; however, the mystery of his family name is never explained.
- He couldn't be fought in the original Tactics Ogre, there wasn't even any battle data for him. This is rectified in the PSP version, where he's an optional boss during Ozma's recruitment quest.
- Official artwork depicts Volaq with a lance, but in battle he wields a 2H sword named Balmung.
