Valley of Kastro is a stage in Ogre Battle: The March of the Black Queen. A mercenary of the Empire searches for a runaway bride.

History[]

The Valley of Kastro is located in the northern reaches of the continent of Xytegenia. Running through the center of the region is the river Brobe. The river runs five hundred and eighty kilometers by seventy seven kilometers and is nearly two kilometers deep. There is a Chaos Gate leading to the Sky Island Muspelm in the southern mountains. Rauny, a Paladin of Hyland, hid from the her would-be groom Duke Apros within the valley. In response to her flight, the duke contracted a mercenary in the region by the name of Ares to track her down.

Events During Stage[]

Liberate the Roshian Temple southwest of Geral Abad (SNES) / Geralabd (PSX) with the Reputation Meter at least 2/3 full and Rauny will ask to join the rebellion. Answer "Yes" to recruit her. Answer "No" to receive a decrease in reputation.
- By refusing Rauny's offer, the player's reputation will drop slightly. But the offer is repeated each time the player visits the city (while the reputation meter is above 70%). Depending on gameplay-style, this can be a useful way to drop reputation points quickly.
Have a unit with Rauny in it engage the enemy commander's unit to see special dialogue between the two of them.
If the player possesses Brunhild, send a unit over the Chaos Gate south of the starting base to open a pathway to the stage Muspelm. The unit does not need to have Brunhild equipped to locate the Chaos Gate. This can be done after completing the stage.

Events After Stage[]

Revisit Felgahnna (SNES) / Felgahnn (PSX) with a low reputation and a thief will greet you and offer you a gift. Accept to receive a Sentoul Demon and a drop in Reputation.
