The Baron (だんしゃく), is a non-playable character in Legend of Ogre Battle Gaiden: Prince of Zenobia, and the enemy leader of the Wind Dunes secret stage. He bears a striking resemblance to Tristan, and holds the same class of General. The defining difference between the two is that the Baron's gaze is completely hollow.
He and a group of mysterious black robe figures are responsible for the Golems plaguing each town in the region. When the Volunteer Army come face to face with him, it's revealed that the black robes are associates of the deceased Jenga.
The Baron dies before he can reveal his true nature, but it's implied that like the Golems, he's an unnatural creation of the black robes.
