- "Knight of the Holy Lodis Empire. Well versed in sword and sorcery, as well as leadership."
- — Description
The Templar Knight is an enemy-only class in Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together. It is known as the Knight Templar in Ogre Battle 64: Person of Lordly Caliber. These knights are the backbone of the crusading armies and knightly orders of the Holy Lodissian Empire.
Appearances[]
Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together (SNES/PSX)[]
Templar Knights appear as an enemy exclusive class serving as knights from Lodis that cannot be persuaded. They have very high growths in HP and MP with their preferred weapon being the sword. One of their unique features is the ability to use all types of magics from all elements within the game.
Templar Knights frequently fought in groups often have assigned roles such as one Templar Knight having healing magic and another knight in the same battle focusing on attack magic. All Templar Knights are male, though they are not playable.
Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together (Sat)[]
Templar Knights appear identical to their regular counterparts but due to a glitch, it is now possible to obtain a Templar Knight via bodyswapping one of your units with an enemy Templar Knight with the Ogre Blade.
Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together (PSP)[]
Templar Knights return as an enemy exclusive class, but now have restricted capabilities. Templar Knights now have less freedom with their abilities, so a Templar Knight with Cleric healing spells isn't able to use a sword and a two handed Katana wielding Templar Knights will only have Swordmaster class skills rather than being capable of mix and matching skills/spells from different classes. These variants are also distinct from one another in the game's internal data and drop different loot.
Additionally Templar Knights drop classmarks from the class they are copying from such as a gun wielding Templar Knight dropping Fusilier marks. In many ways, Templar Knights in this version can be viewed as an enemy skin for regular classes rather than a separate class.
Whilst they have the same uniform sprite as their male counterparts, female Templar Knights can now be found and identified via their voices and equipment.

Notable Templar Knights[]
Notes[]
- Templar Knights have a playable palette in the SNES, PSX and saturn versions of Let us Cling Together which can only be seen via hacking or exploiting a glitch in the saturn version.
- Duke Knights in Tactics Ogre: The Knight of Lodis can be considered their counterparts, as they are also powerful enemy knights that cannot be persuaded and have access to all magic.
