Tarot Cards are acquired by liberating towns or Roshian Temples. When drawn, these cards have a variety of beneficial or detrimental effects on the liberating unit, which are listed below. Drawn cards can be kept and used later in battles. There are a maximum of fourteen cards that can be held at any one time.
Prince of Zenobia uses the same draw and battle effects for the tarot cards as The March of the Black Queen.
The questions posed during the tarot reading are also unchanged from The March of the Black Queen. However, the answers given influence what units join the player's ranks at the beginning of Stage 2. The final card drawn (after the questions) affects Tristan's base stats.
You can sometimes receive Tarot Cards from fallen enemies. When an unit picks a card from the field, they receive a small permanent increase to their stats (except for LUCK, which is temporal). After being picked up, Tarot Cards become consumable items that can be used grant buffs or inflict debuffs, but cannot be sold or used with the Lobber. Rogues can also benefit from Tarot Cards by using them to make booby traps.
