- Favored Weapon: Fans.
- Favored Armor: Robes.
The Sorceress is Cybil's exclusive class, replacing the Siren in class selection. They can be considered a 'super Siren' in terms of class build and playstyle, having similar growths but greater access to spells.
A point of contention among players whenether she or the High Priest is a better unit, since both are mutually exclusive. The High Priest has better HP and STR, access to valuable spells such as Resurrection and Divine Radiance, and is one of the only units capable of using Ignis Fatuus (the others being the Witch♥ and Shaman), but his lack of magic specialization relegates him to a support role; in turn the Sorceress has better MP and INT, access to almost all spells (including the very rare Fiend's Grip and Fluid Magic spells), with the only exceptions of Necromancy, Enfeeble and Virtue spells, and can be considered one of the two best spellcasters in the game.
Like the Siren, this class is better off equipping staves and wands to increase her INT and spell power, instead of their favored fans. Not only that, but fans already have low power and function primarily as melee weapons, while the Sorceress is extremely vulnerable in melee.
As a special character who cannot change classes, Cybil cannot earn the Ripple's Emblem, Gibe of Fallen Angel and The Cycle of Life emblems.
