Ogre Battle Saga Wiki
"A magic-user whose command of a wide range of spells dwarf the knowledge of a common Wizard. Able to use their power without worshipping or forging a pact with any gods, demons, or spirits."
— Description

The Sorcerer and Sorceress are special non-playable classes in Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together. They are unrelated to the Necromancer class, which was renamed Sorcerer in English releases of Ogre Battle: The March of the Black Queen.

Appearance[]

Sorcerers resemble very old men wearing robes and a turban. As a result of their age, they are slightly stooped and use a cane to walk.

Sorceresses resemble very old women with stringy grey hair and long noses wearing robes.

Overview[]

Sorcerer has access to all attack spells and has very high magic attack in the original game.

In the original, Sorceress was a separate class called Summoner that was always able to use Summon as a command separate from their equipped magic spells to summon Skeletons, Ghosts or Gremlins as allies.

There was also two variants of the summoner used by two bosses in the Palace of the Dead. Venefik, used by Falfaday, could use poison rain instead of summon, whilst Vephal's class of Searzist got the jihad command.

Notable Sorcerers[]

Notes[]

  • Sorceresses resemble the stereotypical witch more than the actual Witch class.
  • If hacked to be in the player's army, the Summoner's summoned monsters will still be enemy units and will have to be persuaded to be controlled.
