Shiguld, also known as the Ruined City, is a stage in Ogre Battle: The March of the Black Queen.

History[]

When the dragoon Fogel killed the Divine Dragon Bytalth on Shiguld a terrible curse was unleashed, splitting the Sky Island in twain. In repentance, Fogel governed the shattered island and dedicated his life to the gods. When the Empire came to ask Fogel to join them he flatly refused and so was put under a charm spell by Rashidi, a sage of the Empire.

It was rumored that someone on the sky island possessed the Crest of Fire, an artifact equal in power to the Zodiac Stones. The Crest of Fire was said to be once owned by Lexor, a hero of the Ogre Battle.

Events During Stage[]

To recruit the special character Fogel, defeat him in battle. If the player has 2/3 of the Reputation Meter full, possesses the Star of Heroes (HEROSTAR), has less than 100 characters in their army and the Opinion Leader has at least 70 Alignment, he will join the rebellion.
Toad appears at Kalishinpi (SNES) / Kalishin (PSX) and ask you to get the Dragon's Jewel (JEWEL) for him. A monk at Dallu Sarram (SNES) / Dallusa (PSX) will give you the jewel. Back in Kalishin take Toad's third offer to receive 80,000 goth, but you may want to keep it for the revisit.
Temples here give an HP and a ALI.

Events After Stage[]

Revisit Bujunbulla (SNES) / Bujunbul (PSX) to receive the Big Trophy (TROPHY)
Revisit Mupan to receive a Sentoul Demon (DEMON)
Revisit Dallu Sarram (SNES) / Dallusa (PSX) a wizard appears asking for the Dragon's Jewel (JEWEL) and gives you a Undead Ring for it. If you sold it previously, you may return to Kalishin and buy the jewel back from Toad for 150,000 goth.
Revisit Roshian Temple in the mountains with the Tablet of Yaru (TABLET) to receive the Diamond (DIAMOND)
If Fogel was not recruited, revisit Shiggult (SNES) / Shiguld (PSX) to receive Zepyulos, one of the 4 swords needed to obtain the Crest of Fire (FIRESEAL).
