Poltorano, also known as The Great Poltorano, is one of the three wise ones sent to earth by the gods in Ogre Battle: The March of the Black Queen. Poltorano is a descendant of one of the Twelve Disciples of the Ogre Battle Legend. He lived on one of the Sky Islands until he moved to Selshippe, where he met the rebels. There he asked Destin to show the Mercury to a magician by the name of Gizolfi and return to him with a special stone. When Destin returned with the the Gem of Doun, Poltorano gave him the Olden Orb and pointed him towards another one of the three wise ones, Tarut, who lived in the city of Ramoto.
