Ogre Battle 64: Person of Lordly Caliber is the first game in which multiple generic ogres appear in the class, "Ogre." They appear as the most powerful non unique demon class within the game.
Appearance
Member of the Ogre class are huge ebon skinned demons. Horns jut from their heads, their mouths are filled with fangs, and their hands and feet all end in pointed claws. They wear a leather harness and wield a giant warhammer with only one hand.
Recruitment
Ogre Battle 64: Person of Lordly Caliber
Ogres can only be rarely found in the wild and recruited in a few locations. Alternatively ogres can be made to join the player with the Love and Peace item once it is obtained later in the game.
Tactics Ogre: The Knight of Lodis
Ogre is the personal class of Rimmon and he nor his class cannot be obtained in any way without using a cheat device.
Overview
Ogre Battle 64: Person of Lordly Caliber
Ogres are a powerful frontline unit and it is recommended that the player grab some to give their two handed Axes to, as only Ogres and the rare Black Knights can use them.
Ogres in the wild have a rare chance to drop the Ogre Blade.
Tactics Ogre: The Knight of Lodis
The Ogre class is extremely powerful with incredible strength and HP combined with above average speed. The Ogre class can also equip all armor and helmets with the boss faced in the game having some of the best armor available. Altogether the ogre has more HP and defense then the final boss.
The class also has a passive fear effect skill meaning nearby enemy units within 3 spaces will get their attack lowered. However the class has 3 movement and its magic defense is only average, as such it is recommended to bombard an Ogre with your most powerful magic spells whilst keeping your distance and it will eventually go down.

Notes
- Despite being one of the most powerful demonic units, Ogres cannot lead units in Person of Lordly Calibur, presumably due to being large size units.
- The Ogre class can equip weapons if one is put into its inventory using cheat devices in The Knights of Lodis. However the Ogre animations will still depict it punching the enemy and the game may freeze if an ogre blocks with a weapon or uses a ranged weapon.
