The soundtrack for Ogre Battle: The March of the Black Queen was composed Hitoshi Sakimoto, Masaharu Iwata, and Hayato Matsuo. Notably, it was the first score in an orchestral style for Sakimoto, who had only done electronic music to that point.
Many familiar compositions of the series first appeared in this game, from the iconic Overture, to the overworld Atlas theme.
