The Kingdom of Coritanae, was a kingdom during and prior the time of Dorgalua's Great War. It was situation on the Valerian Isles, with Coritinae Keep as its center,
Coritanae was a kingdom of the Galgastan clan, but maintained diplomatic allegiance with their Walister populated neighbor, the Kingdom of Almorica, and the fellow Galgastani Kingdom of Brigantys. At the outbreak of the war, the kingdom was led by Count Orlandeau.
Dorgalua's Great War[]
Coritanae became involved from the early phases of the war, when their ally Almorica was invaded by the Kingdom of Phidoch. Phidoch's aggression against Coritanae also drew Brigantys into the conflict, spreading the war even further across Valeria.
Count Orlandeau was eventually slain in battle, severely weakening Coritanae's autonomy. It eventually fell under the sway of King Rodrick of Brigantys, and Coritanae as a kingdom all but evaporated. It was eventually unified with the other kingdoms by Dorgalua Oberyth, forming the Kingdom of Valeria.
The Kingdom of Galgastan[]
After many years of stability, Dorgalua's death triggered a succession crisis that split the isles once more. The Kingdom of Galgastan was formed of the old domains of Brigantys, Coritinae, and Almorica. Count Orlandeau's descendant, a young child with the title Lord of Coritanae, was identified as the heir to Galgastan's throne. However, due to his youth, Hierophant Leundar Balbatos rules in his place.
