The war effort initially made strong inroads under his command. However, his questionable measures would cost him the faith of his people and/or his subordinates.
The Duke meets a bloody end in all routes, slain by one who once served under him.
Warren Report[]
Duke Ronwey. Age 52.
The former leader of the Walister Resistance.
After the onset of war, he led the beleaguered Walister people in their resistance to the Galgastani. The Duke was held prisoner is his own castle, but was later freed by a group of partisans. He then took the helm of the Resistance once more.
Lawful Route[]
However, the massacre at Balmamusa and the failure of the Psonji offensive caused his people to lose faith in him. He was murdered through the betrayal of Sir Leonar, who feared the Resistance to be on the verge of collapse.
Chaotic Route[]
After the massacre at Balmamusa, he overthrew Hierophant Balbatos and took control of Coritanae. However, he was assassinated by one of his own men during the attempt to recapture Rhime from the Bakram.
Neutral Route[]
After the massacre at Balmamusa, he overthrew Hierophant Balbatos and took control of Coritanae. However, he was assassinated during the attempt to recapture Rhime from the Bakram.
Personality[]
Ronwey is a natural politician and tactician, with wiliness one might expect from his weathered features. His silver tongue charms many Walister under his command, including the young Golyat trio. As a leader, he's capable of placating enemies for strategic advantage, such as forging a truce of non-interference with Loslorien, while enacting bold yet effective battlefield tactics with the Walisters' limited resources.
In truth, Ronwey views the masses, including the Walister, as pawns to be used in a battle to ensure his own status. This first becomes apparent when he orders the massacre of Balmamusans as a ruse to frame the Galgastani. He also plots to eventually align with Lodis rather than expel them, a prospect most Walister would balk at.
