Jonathon Torgeaux Lindl (known as Rendal in the SNES/PS version) is a playable character in Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together.

A foreign warrior wielding an exotic weapon, he became a target of the Dark Knight Martym for his knowledge, but was saved by the timely intervention of Denam Morne. He joined him out of gratitude, and to keep testing his unusual weaponry.

Warren Report[]

If recruited[]

Fusilier Lindl

Jonathon Torgeaux Lindl. Age 24.

A young warrior hailing from the southern continent of Balboede who has trained in the use of the fusils made there.

He came close to defeat at the hands of the Dark Knight Martym at Grimsby, but was saved by Denam.

He journeyed to Valeria to purvey the sophisticated weaponry of his homeland. The guns made there can inflict terrible damage, but require training to use as they are vastly different to more traditional weapons. Too elaborate to make in large quantities, they are sold for princely sums.

Recruitment[]

Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together (PSP)[]

Available on all routes

After the battle at Barnicia Castle during Chapter 4, read "Rhamsen Wreck Raised" in the Warren Report's Talk section. Afterwards go to Grimsby, where a battle against Martym will ensue. Keep Lindl alive, and he will join you after the battle, unlocking the Fusilier class and bringing several Fusilier's Marks with him.

Overview[]

Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together (PSP)[]

The main purpose of recruiting him is to unlock the Fusilier class. He's the best available Fusilier thanks to his RT bonus, however the Fusilier class in general lags behind Archers in damage output, and become completely overshadowed in the postgame due to the lack of elemental modifiers in their weapons. Not helping matters is that Lindl will have to grind for quite some time to catch up with other units first if he intends to stay a Fusilier.

Alternatively, he can do very well as an Archer, or, if he turns to Crossbows, class into Knight or Dragoon.

See Fusilier for class specifics.
