The Gorgon's render in Ogre Battle 64: Person of Lordly Caliber
|Race||Netherworlder PLC KOL|
Gorgons can only be recruited from enemy units in the the following locations:
- Harmonia (Path A/B, Battle #20)
- Charadrius (Path A, Batlle #21)
- Hall of Corruption (Path A/B, Battle #23)
- Rebanada (Path A/B, Optional battle against Saia)
- Rebanada, Sufrir (Random battle)
- Favored Weapon: Bows.
- Favored Armor: Mail.
- Cannot equip Footwear.
The Gorgon is a demi-human class. Their Move score, stats and equipment restriction make them somewhat similar to the Mermaid, but the Gorgon makes for a far better land warrior thanks to their game-breaking skill.
In terms of attack power, defense and stats, the Gorgon is nothing special, and weaker than her fellow demi-human the Hawkman. However, her real power lies in her Evil Eye skill (Bane, 30 SP), which can petrify any enemy without a shield, and has a triangular (from the Gorgon's front), unlimited AOE; however, players should be careful when using this skill, as it can affect allies too, one easy way to avoid petrifying allies is to position them backside from the Gorgon's line of sight before using the skill.
It should be noted that petrified enemies do not leave any drops, making it possible to permanently lose unique items if the battle ends with the carrier petrified.
Additionally, Gorgons are immune to petrification themselves, either from Petrifying Cloud or Evil Eye.
Gorgons are one of the better demi-human classes, as Evil Eye can quickly turn any battle in the player's favor, so it may be worthwhile to keep at least one in the team. They can really shine in Quest Mode battles, where there's no risk of losing drops from petrified enemies.
Gorgons cannot earn the Gibe of Fallen Angel, The Cycle of Life, Ripple's Emblem or any of the race-specific emblems.
