Margret is a renowned swordmaster of Rananculus in Tactics Ogre: The Knight of Lodis.
Story[]
A skilled warrior, Margret was considered the best swordmaster within Rananculus. William Batraal gave her the sword Notos as a gift worthy of her station. She was a mentor to William Batraal's daughter Ivanna for many years and taught her all she knew in the way of the blade. Being loyal to a fault, she did not question Naris Batraal after the news of her previous lord William's untimely demise.
Following the death of William Batraal, she helped Ivanna desert Rananculus safely and allowed her freedom to ascertain whether or not William's death was indeed of a heart attack.
During the battle between the forces of Alphonse Loeher and the Batraal family at Ostorea, Margret was sent to the walls to defend the castle. Margret grieved to fight her student Ivanna but duty and honor compelled her to do so. However, Ivanna defeated her master and the forces of the castle. Margret's last words praised Ivanna's skill, and she gave Ivanna the sword Notos and shared with her the secrets of the sword technique Atropos.
