Eurynome Rhade is a non-playable character in Ogre Battle 64: Person of Lordly Caliber. He is a knight of Palatinus and a major antagonist of the player character Magnus Gallant during the early parts of the game.

History

Sir Eurynome Rhade is an Archknight of the Kingdom of Palatinus and an officer of the Central Division. A staunch supporter of the Holy Lodissian Empire and the caste system, Rhade believes he is entitled by his noble station and looks down upon the people of the lower class. He hopes that to achieve honor and glory in battle so that one day he will be recognized by Lodis.

While serving as a bodyguard to Yumil Dulmare during the Prince's tour of the Southern Region, he, Yumil, and Jeal Veritte are captured by a radical faction of the fledgling Palatinean Revolutionary Army. The rebels hold the three of them in the town of Ishro near the Volmus Mine and plan to execute them in the name of the revolution. Soon after, however, they are rescued by a rookie battalion of the Southern Division led by Magnus Gallant. Rhade then demands that Magnus kill the remaining rebels in the area.

Rhade later arrives at Volmus Mine, where Magnus has defeated and captured the rebel leader Qad. Rhade attempts to execute Qad against Yumil's order, which prompts Magnus to intervene. Rhade, however, knocks the young cadet out of the way, but before he can slay Qad, Debonair arrives and blocks Rhade's sword. The Xenobian's companions Destin Faroda, Aisha Knudel, and Saradin Carm also appear, incapacitating Rhade and Jeal and leading Qad to safety. Rhade and Jeal unsuccessfully attempt to track down the escaping rebels.

When he and the others present come to, Rhade summons two Knights and tries to attack Magnus. Fleeing, Diomedes Rangue appears with two Amazons and fends off Rhade. Thereafter becoming a bitter enemy of Magnus for thwarting the death of Sir Frederick, Rhade stoops very low to get the best of the heroes by involving the Bolmaukan slaves. Rhade uses the Bolmaukans to fight Magnus at Mt Ithaca but he is killed. However, if Dio leaves the Blue Knights prior to this, Rhade will flee the final battle of Mount Ithaca and be killed in the next cutscene by Dio, announcing himself as his replacement.
