Crafting, is a mechanic introduced in the PSP version of Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together. It allows the player to combine ingredients to create items such a weapons, equipment, consumables, or other more complex ingredients.
Crafting is first unlocked early in Chapter 2, and can be done at any location with a store. Every act of crafting is free, but comes with a percentage rate of success. Whether the crafting succeeds or fails, the consumed ingredients are lost. Occasionally, a double success occurs, producing two items instead of one.
All crafting requires a recipe. The basic set of recipes are unlocked at fixed points in the story. Others must be found through sidequests and enemy drops.

Recipes in enchiridions often require ingredients forged by intermediate recipes, so getting both is advised.
