Cockatrice is a class in Tactics Ogre: The Knight of Lodis, Ogre Battle 64: Person of Lordly Caliber and Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together. This class is known as the Cockatris in Ogre Battle: The March of the Black Queen. The Cockatrice is a terrifying beast that can turn its enemies into stone and is often accompanied into battle by a beast tamer.

Ogre Battle: The March of the Black Queen[]
An upgraded Griffon, the Cockatris has better stat growth but loses its hit all attack in the back row in return for a petrify attack. Petrify incapacitates the enemy character and outright destroys an undead character. Like the Griffon it is useful for allowing the units it joins to acquire the High Sky movement type.
