The Chagall Swamps (シャガールしっち), are a location in Legend of Ogre Battle Gaiden: Prince of Zenobia, and the site of Stage 10, 'The Dark Knight'.
This stage appears in both the Chaotic and Lawful Routes. It's possible to recruit several characters here, and obtain the holy sword Brynhildr.

Stage Events[]
- If you've recruited Yorkaif, a different opening scene will play out, where he mentions a former general of the Xenobian army in the town of Estedell. Go there (it doesn't have to be Tristan's unit, but there will be extra dialogue if it is), and you will recruit Grant the Mage.
- If you have the White Goddess Idol, visit any of the temples to exchange it for the holy sword Brynhildr.
- In the Chaotic Route, the Idol can be obtained after Stage 8.
- In the Lawful Route, you must liberate every temple on this stage, then retrieve the Idol from Gloth Region.
- Visit Netobi, and you'll be asked to retrieve a Rainbow Choker from the north-western temple in Satz Peninsula. This is required to unlock the secret stage Wind Dunes.
- Visit Bembega to receive an item depending on Reputation.
- If it's 60 or higher, then you'll get a Mystic Veil.
- If it's below 60, you'll get a Death Mask.
- At Kabe, you can buy a Peridot Sword for 15,000 Goth if your Reputation is 60 or higher.

If the unit leader that defeats Kiros has Alignment below 60, you'll be given a choice to finish or spare him.
- Press A to finish Kiros off, and you'll lose -5 Alignment.
- Press B to spare Kiros, and he'll join your ranks, but you'll also lose -10 Alignment and -10 Reputation.

After Clearing[]
- If you're on the Lawful Route, and liberated every temple on the map, return to Aurata in the Gloth Region to buy the White Goddess Idol. Then, return to any temple in the Chagall Swamps to obtain Brynhildr.
- After visiting Netobi, go to the north-western temple in Satz Peninsula to retrieve the Rainbow Choker. Then, take it back to Netobi to receive a Persuasion Spell and unlock the secret stage Wind Dunes.
Free Battle[]
- If the system clock is set to December 25th, and Reputation is at 80 or higher, visiting the northern temple during (in-game) daytime will recruit a Light Priest. Outside of multiplayer, this is the only method to obtain the class.
