Banya is the wet-nurse of the Xenobian Royal Family in Ogre Battle: The March of the Black Queen.
The nanny of the princes, Banya fled Xenobia Castle after the assassination of King Gran with the first born heir to the throne, Tristan Xenobia. In the remote village of Estor, she stayed with the Prince through his childhood. Tristan grew up unaware of his royal lineage, until Banya revealed it to him following the death of Estrada.
During the revolution against the Sacred Xytegenian Empire, Banya gave Destin the Key of Destiny in faith that he would not seek the leadership of Xenobia but hand it to Tristan. The rebels were told by Banya that Tristan awaited them on the Island of Avalon. When the prince returned to Kal Robs to see Banya, she was overjoyed to see him and gave him the Book of Good.
