Balmamusa, is a town in Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together.
Background[]
The military domination of the Kingdom of Galgastan reduced the Walister race to a very apartheid-esque existence under harsh Galgastan rule. The Walister mining town of Balmamusa was one such example.
Located in the small Walister province allocated by Galgastan, approximately 5,000 residents lived in torrid conditions, little more than slave labor.
Massacre[]
Duke Ronwey seeked to bolster the forces of the Walister Resistance by inciting the people of Balmamusa to revolt. However, the townsfolk could not be coerced. They were exhausted of warfare, and weary of losing what little security they had.
The Duke's backup plan was to massacre the town, and frame Galgastan for the atrocity. He hoped to create such an outrage that other Walister living under Galgastan's thumb will be goaded into uprising, while also creating division from detractors in Galgastan's own ranks.
The massacre was carried out by Sir Leonar, and other soldiers of the Resistance.
Ultimately, the plan achieved its goal. Against all odds, the Kingdom of Galgastan eventually fell to the Walister Resistance. However, the truth could not be suppressed. The Duke's favor with the Walister fell with time, and those who took part were branded as butchers.
The Balmamusa Dead[]
In Chapter 4 of the Chaotic Route, Balmamusa becomes mysteriously overrun with an organized force of undead. Denam encounters Oelias Obdilord, a sibyl providing wartime relief, who was caught up in the attack. Though he came to her aide, she later succumbed to her wounds.
This event is one necessary step towards recruiting Cressida Obdilord.
