The Arc Samurai (アークサムライ), is an upgrade class to the Samurai Master, exclusive to Legend of Ogre Battle Gaiden: Prince of Zenobia.
The only time the Arc Samurai appears as a story enemy is in the very final battle of the game. Balder's unit is supported by two Arc Samurai.
Appearance[]
Unlike the armor-clad Samurai and Samurai Master, the Arc Samurai has the appearance of a dual-wielding ronin in flowing clothes, bearing more physical resemblance to the Swordmaster class of other games.
Gameplay[]
Changing a Samurai Master to an Arc Samurai requires the Wooden Sword (かたいぼくとう) item. These can only be obtained by drops, or as prizes in multiplayer mode. There is no level requirement for the class, and it has the same Charisma and Alignment requirements as promotion to Samurai Master.
The Arc Samurai keeps the single Sonic Slice ability from the back row as the Samurai Master. In the front row, it forgoes the 3 attacks of the previous class for 2 slashing attacks called Clean Cut, which hit with double STR.
