"I was oppressed by King Gran…I never received any grace. All I remember is this hatred for him."
— Duke Apros

Apros, also known as Duke Apros, is the governor of the Malano region in Ogre Battle: The March of the Black Queen. Duke Apros wears the facade of a gentleman but is a savage at heart.

Story[]

Early Life[]

Apros was the son of a third-rate noble family that was oppressed by King Gran. All he could remember was hatred for the man he knew as king and those feelings would shape an important decision for him later in his life.

The Great War[]

When King Gran was assassinated, Apros abandoned Xenobia and pledged allegiance to the Empire. To show his dedication, he cut off the heads of his own parents and presented them to Empress Endora. To further demonstrate his loyalty, Apros commanded the forces that burned down the Pogrom Forest which killed many of the refuges trying to flee Xenobia Castle. Apros was named the governor of Malano through his proficiency at smooth-talking and a large amount of Goth.

Missing Bride[]

Apros' power never being enough, he fortified the city of Malano and requested the hand of Rauny Vinzalf, the daughter of the illustrious General Hikash Vinzalf. Hikash granted his request but before the wedding could take place, Rauny ran off to the Valley of Kastro. Apros offered a reward of one hundred thousand Goth, dead or alive, to the mercenaries he sent after her.

Son of Xenobia[]

Using the wedding crowds as a distraction, Tristan attacked Apros but the governor was ready to face the prince with the black magic Rashidi had taught him. However, he was no match for Tristan and Apros was killed. With his death and the liberation of Malano came many uprisings throughout the Empire.
